I’ve written a lot about CBS’ misguided, fan-disrespecting effort to squash the Star Trek fan film Axanar.  Here’s a wonderful opinion piece that does a great job of summing up the whole situation and my feelings on the matter.  I wish CBS would drop this lawsuit — as J.J. Abrams and Justin Lin had promised they would!! — but that doesn’t appear to be happening and I am abandoning hope that Axanar will ever be made.  If you have no idea what I’m talking about, here is their incredible short-film Prelude to Axanar:
