News Around the Net!
I am really digging the most recent trailer for Dune:
Wow I really, really hope this is a great as I want it to be. I’m loving what I’ve seen so far, including these great new character posters.
This is a solid trailer for the new Ghostbusters film:
Can this possibly be any good? To quote Fox Mulder, I want to believe…
Here’s a teaser (though without any actual footage) of the long-in-development TV adaptation of the great comic book series Y: The Last Man. I hope the show is good!

There are quite a number of adaptations of Neil Gaiman’s books in the works these days… the latest being the announcement of an Anansi Boys TV series at Amazon. Anansi Boys isn’t one of my favorite books by Mr. Gaiman, but I’m intrigued to see what a TV adaptation might look like.
This new poster gets me excited and sad for Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s final season…!
The last several years have been filled with announcements and rumors about new Star Trek movie projects, none of which have yet actually come to be. Will this latest announcement, that WandaVision’s Matt Shakman will be directing a new Trek film, actually be real? We’ll see…

On the other hand, here’s a nice tease for the second season of Star Trek: Lower Decks. The first season was the only modern Trek show to give me joy, so I’m actually quite looking forward to season two!
This is cool news: J.K. Simmons might reprise his role as Commissioner Gordon (from Justice League) in the upcoming Batgirl film for HBO Max. I’d love to see more of the great J.K. Simmons as Gordon!
This is a nice piece defending Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. I’ve always had a soft spot for Star Trek III — I think it’s the exception to the even-odd rule of the classic Trek films.
